Founder of "Quality Association" PU
Samir Novruzlu was born on August 28, 1981 in Baku. In 1988-1994 he studied at secondary school No. 29, and in 1994-2008 he studied at secondary school No. 289 "Zangi". In 1998-2002, he studied at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (now Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University) with a bachelor's degree in "Standardization and Certification", and in 2003-2005 - with a master's degree in the same specialty. He served in the military from 2002 to 2003.
While studing at the university, he began to study quality, standardization, certification, metrology and conformity assessment and conduct research in this area.
Samir Novruzlu began his career as an engineer for standardization and certification at the Institute of Petrochemical Processes named after Academician Yu.Kh. Mamedaliyev of the Academy of Sciences of ANAS, later became a quality manager, consultant, trainer in several local and foreign companies and lead auditor.
Gathering those who understand and promote quality concept in the country and the importance of its implementation in all areas, he founded the Quality Association Public Union and the “Quality and Management” magazine in 2007. Under his leadership, the Quality Association for a short period of time contacted with many international and national organizations, represented Azerbaijan at different international events and organizations, and continues to do so till now.
In 2008, Samir Novruzlu was elected to the board of the The Asia Pacific Quality Organization Inc. He has been a member of the American Society for Quality since 2009.
Samir Novruzlu has made significant contributions to partnerships between Qaulity Association anf European Organization for Quality (EOQ), American Society of Quality (ASQ), International Academy of Quality (IAQ), Shanghai Quality Association (SAQ), Turkish Quality Association (KALDER), Ukrainian Quality Association and All-Russian Quality Organization.
Samir Novruzlu, who is currently a member of the board of directors of several organizations, is also chairman of the Quality Association.
